Fans are ready for the next installment of
Harry Potter, to be released tomorrow, July 15th. The last book,
Deathly Hallows, will be shown in two installments, giving us more time for
Harry Potter withdrawal, but it's hard to believe that we're almost at the end of the series. You'll find lots of mementos in this assortment, like Luna Lovegood's radish earrings (part of a 4-piece set), a Dumbledore's Army messenger bag and the Golden Snitch pendant necklace illustrated here.

Tourmaline is a gemstone that exists in many colors, but pinks, purplish-reds and greens seem to be the most commonly seen shades. Not all tourmaline jewelry is affordable, especially if it's mixed with other gems, but much of it is priced right -- especially when compared with other gems of the same colors. Green tourmaline is a good example of a gemstone that costs significantly less than another green favorite -- emerald.

In typical British fashion, jewelry was somewhat understated at the
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince world premiere in London.
J K Rowling wore a huge pair of chandelier earrings and
Helena Bonham Carter's dog tag pendants were engraved with the names of her children.
Daniel Radcliffe was one of the cast members who wore a white wrist-ribbon in memory of Rob Knox, a young man who appeared in the film but was murdered in 2008.

A few jewelry making pliers, a little bit of epoxy and a small batch of old costume jewelry -- that's all it takes to turn styles you don't wear into fresh, new designs. Mix and match components, and if you don't like what you create, take them apart and do it again.
